Travel Essentials – Pandemic Edition
Hey everyone! It has definitely been a crazy past couple of months. I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy! So many things have changed during the pandemic, including travel. I understand the risk of exposure while traveling, however I’m taking all the precautions I can to ensure my health and safety. Since it is now summertime, businesses & cities are now reopening, allowing for more travel opportunities. I have come up with a list of everything you need to stay sanitized and healthy during your travels!
The main essential item that you will need to have plenty of while traveling is hand sanitizer. I like to use the pocket back hand sanitizers from bath and body works because they can fit right in your pocket. This is perfect for traveling because after every time you touch something, you have it readily available. Also, I like to use the spray hand sanitizers because you can also spray surfaces you might touch as well. For example, while sitting in your seat on the plane, you can spray the seat back tray, arm rests, seat belt, etc.
Another necessary essential item is a mask. Most airlines now have made it mandatory to have a face mask to board the plane. I prefer to use the blue medical mask. I like these ones because after every use or every couple uses you can toss it and use a new fresh one. The cloth masks are also a good choice because you can wash and reuse them, making them more eco friendly (and stylish!). If available, I’d also recommend an additional face covering, for example, a scarf. I know it’s summertime and a scarf is the last item any one wants to wear but even a thin, lightweight scarf can make a difference and serve as an extra precaution.
Next, sanitizing wipes and hand wipes are also very important to have when traveling. These are crucial to sanitize your area around your plane seat & also sanitizing the area around where you might be sitting, waiting to get on the plane. When boarding the plane, sanitize your seat belt, seat, arm rests, head rest, seat back tray, and back of the seat in front of you. Don’t forget to wipe down your phone as well! Then, take the extra step to spray with sanitizer as well. If you’re having trouble finding travel packs of sanitizing wipes, I would suggest purchasing a regular pack and then taking a handful from that pack and put into a ziploc bag!
When traveling, I always have to have snacks! Unfortunately during this time the planes are not providing their food and drink services so bringing my own snacks are a must! I recommend buying individually packaged snacks to avoid any possible germs of sharing snacks with people you may be traveling with. Also, after you finish your snack you can toss all the packaging that may have contracted germs from a surface on the plane. Unfortunately, you have to purchase drinks after you get through security. After you purchase a bottled drink, wipe it down with a sanitizing wipe to prevent any possible germ spread.
My last pandemic travel tip would be to keep all of your sanitizing products together in a small bag or pouch inside your carry on / purse. I recommend this because that way these items can be located quickly and easily avoiding touching other items in your bag, possibly spreading germs to other items.
If you are planning on traveling I hope you were able to take something away from this post! Even if you aren’t traveling, I hope you enjoyed and maybe incorporate one of these tips into your daily life if you haven’t already!

March Favorites 🍀
This month has been absolutely unbelievable to save the least. With COVID-19 in full force, this month has been quite different than most, with spending most of my days hunkered in my house watching Netflix and eating snacks!
1. White Claws – if you know me, you know that I am not a huge drinker but what else is there to do while self isolating? haha the new variety pack is delish! I definitely recommend if you enjoy drink hard seltzer!!
2. Nothing Bundt Cake – the third week of this month consisted of eating lots and lots of cake, because it was my birthday!! the best cake to get for any occasion, hands down. + for your birthday you get a free mini bundt when you sign up for their email program!
3. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel – for the past couple of weeks I have been spending my days watching this show on Amazon with my mama. It is so cute and one of the funniest shows I have seen in awhile! If you’re looking for something to binge while quarantining, check this show out!
4. Biker Shorts – without leaving the house (except for groceries) there’s no need to get all ready in a nice outfit, so biker shorts and oversized sweatshirts are what I have been living in. I definitely recommend checking out the ones from aerie! They are super comfortable and affordable!
5. 2M Lightning Cable – with being on my phone a lot more now than I used to be, my phone is always dying! With this long charger cable I’m able to lay on the couch and still play on my phone while it charges haha laziness at it’s finest
6. Jergens Natural Glow Lotion – I’ve been using this for the entire month of March and I’m obsessed with this! Sometimes I self tan with a tanning mousse but lately I’ve just been using this. It’s so easy, natural and gradual. I use the medium to tan shade (the darkest one). You can find this at Target or Walmart!
7. The movie “Knives Out” – I don’t think this movie came out this month, but I’ve watched it at least 2 or 3 times in the past couple of weeks haha it’s such a funny and mysterious movie. It’s a movie you could watch with anyone! grab some snacks and have a movie night!
8. Tease Body Spray from VS – this is a scent I always come back to, it’s that good!!! If you haven’t tried it yet, hop on VS site and order it right now!!
9. Girl Scout Cookies – I’ve definitely eaten my fair share of GS cookies this month, but they are SO TASTY and it supports the lil girls so it’s a win win haha my faves are the samoas and do si dos. YUM!
10. Clean & Clear Lemon Gel Facial Cleanser – I’ve been using this face wash for awhile now and it’s definitely become a staple. I love the lemon scent, it’s so refreshing and makes me feel more awake! You can find this at any drugstore! super affordable too!!
I hope you all enjoyed my list of faves for the month of march! If you try any of these out, let me know! I would love to know what you all think! I hope you have a great month of April and happy social distancing!!

February Faves
happy leap day y’all! do something special to celebrate this extra day of the year today. I thought I would end this fun month with a little list of my favorite things I’ve been loving the past few weeks! I think monthly faves are so fun. I like to see what products, movies, music, activities, etc people are loving, and I just wanted to share mine with you all.
- V8 Energy Drinks – more caffeine than a Redbull but less sugar (I love my Redbull, but I like to mix these in for a healthier option + these are perfect to drink in the mornings before work)
- Bedhead Hair Waver – this is a hot tool that I’ve had for YEARS but have found myself using more & more recently. This hairstyle is perfect for spring and summer time, it looks like a lil more intense version of beachy waves + it’s under $30
- Nike Air Force 1 – this is one pair of shoes I have been eyeing for a longgg time & Will got them for me for our anniversary. I’ve been wearing them every time I leave the house (besides for work) and they are so comfy and can go with so many different looks + if you wear a size 8 or smaller, opt for the girls or boys ones, just size down 1.5 sizes & they are $15 cheaper + look the EXACT same
- Tula Glow & Get It Undereye Balm – this is one product I use EVERY SINGLE MORNING. It makes my eyes look more awake by visibly brightening my undereye area & having a cooling effect
- Billie Razor – I saw so many influencers raving about this and I was definitely skeptical until I just decided to order it and WOW. They all rave about it for a GOOD reason. The razor itself is so smooth + the magnetic holder for inside the shower + the idea of the subscription service is GENIUS. 10/10 recommend. HOP ON THIS TREND
- Starbucks Iced Chai Tea Latte + double espresso shot – this drink has been my go to drink literally all month long. It tastes DELICIOUS & it’s caffeinating!
- Oversized Sweatshirts – who isn’t obsessed with oversized sweatshirts though? I just feel like this month I have found some GOOD ones y’all, and of course they are all from Aerie (lol, my fave) (checkout my ‘like to know it’ to check out which styles I’ve been living in this month)
- Post Malone – more so this month than others I’ve been obsessed with listening to Posty because we went to his concert earlier in the month & it was a life changer. Will and I sang along to every song and lost our voices, but it was so worth it. (‘a thousand bad times’ is my fave song by him right now, definitely check it out if you haven’t already)
- Chick Fil A milkshakes – a couple weeks ago I tried the cookies & cream shake from CFA and ahh it was so good! how did I live this long without them! I’m low key addicted to them now, hehe
- Lululemon Align Leggings – I know that these are a SPLURGE but I truly feel that with leggings, you get what you pay for. These are buttery soft, not see through, and somehow suck you in but in a comfortable way. also, if you decide to try these out, size down! for reference, I wear a size 8 in the aligns!
I hope you all enjoyed my list of things I’ve been obsessing over this month! Let’s get ready for March girlies! 🍀

Top 19 Beauty Picks from 2019
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a merry holiday season and happy new year celebration. This year I am determined to set some high goals for myself and STICK TO THEM. One of those includes being more active on Instagram and posting a blog post weekly.
I thought the best way to start out the new year would be to talk about my favorite beauty products from last year.
- It Cosmetics CC+ Cream with 50 spf – $39 (my shade: light medium)
- Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer – $30 (my shade: chocolate)
- Mario Badescu Original Lip Balm – $8
- It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara – $24
- Tula Glow and Get It Eye Balm – $28
- Morphe Continuous Setting Mist – $16
- Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette – $38
- Tarte Shape Tape – $27 (my shade: fair or light)
- Clean & Clear Lemon Exfoliating Facial Pads – $5.99
- Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop Highlighter – $38
- Charlotte Tilbury Matte Lipstick in Pillowtalk – $34
- Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes – $4.99
- Thayer’s Cucumber Facial Toner – $10.99
- Redken Color Extend Blondage Shampoo & Conditioner – $39.99
- Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo – $6.49
- Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – $4.89
- Caboodle Makeup Organizer – $19.99
- Victor & Rolf Bon Bon Perfume – $68
- Kristen Ess 1 1/4 Curling Iron – $50
These are my absolute favorite beauty products from this past year — I use all of these daily or every other day (your girl does not wash her hair or do her makeup everyday). Also, all prices were taken from either Ulta, Target, Beauty Brands and Sephora. The pricing could possibly be lower on some items depending on where you shop!
A few little tips I have when purchasing beauty products;
- ALWAYS check Marshalls and TJ Maxx first! (Especially for my fave orange makeup sponges, NEVER pay full price for these)
- Wait until the liter sale at Beauty Brands to purchase full size salon shampoos and conditioners ($15 is WAY better than $40!!)
- Try out the mini size first (if available) before committing to a full size product of something you haven’t tried before (I ALWAYS buy minis, almost all of my daily makeup products are mini)
- Use discount codes (especially when purchasing items from Tula, there’s always a code from an insta influencer that can be used)
- Join the free rewards programs (I mostly purchase beauty products from Ulta & their rewards program is VERY good compared to other retailers + there are exclusive coupons and codes that can be by rewards members used too!

How to Accessorize Your Valentine’s Look ❤️
Hi gals! Apparently I blinked and now it’s already February. I can’t believe it! 2020 is already going by so fast! In a little over a week, it will be the most LOVE filled day of the year. aka Valentine’s Day! Lately I’ve been super into anything with hearts and that is pink or red, and it’s definitely no coincidence. It’s fun to be festive!
Accessories are such a fun way to make any ‘old’ outfit NEW or just make a new outfit even cuter! I’ve rounded up my top accessories that you could add to a Valentine’s Day look.
Earrings – my favorite place to find festive earrings are from the Sugarfix line from Target! They’re affordable and 1000% on trend. + a lot of their Valentine themed earrings are on sale for a lil over $10 right now! ❤️
Necklaces – my go to way to add a little extra style is with a necklace, especially lil dainty ones! I’ve been super into stars & lightning bolt necklaces. why? I have no clue, but I think they’re adorable 🤩 a place I know I can ALWAYS find a something at is Francesca’s! & right now they’re having a 2 for $25 sale on all their jewelry!
Hair Scrunchies & Headbands – I’m definitely the type of person that likes to curl my hair and call it good. I’m not one for doing fancy hairstyles or honestly, even putting my hair in a ponytail 🤣 BUT if you’re the type of gal that loves to have her hair out of her face than this accessory tip is for you! Hair scrunchies are such a trend now & I’m living for it. They can add a little color or fun print to your look with basically zero effort. If you’re the type of gal like me who always wears her hair down, than it can be a little harder to find hair accessories that work. Headbands are making a comeback y’all! My favorite type are the ones that knot on top, so cute 😍 last hair accessory tip & one that DID NOT work out for me. Hair scarves are ADORABLE but they definitely have to be made to me a hair scarf. Here’s why. They’re too big otherwise. If it’s designed to be like a neck scarf, it’s too big. If this happens to you, tie it around your bag for a lil extra style!

Shoes I’m Loving For Fall
Happy Saturday loves! This weekend I wanted to talk a lil bit about the one area of my closet that has been expanding the most recently: shoes! Temperatures in the fall can fluctuate so much to where one day I’ll be wearing OTK boots and the next I’m wearing birks. Midwest weather probs, right?! However, these pairs have been my staples for the season so far!
🍁 Leopard print booties have been my go to shoes for any neutral outfit. They add so much to a simple look! This pair that has been all over my Instagram is from Walmart! yes, you read that right. I love how they are an ankle boot with just a lil heel. You can wear these all day long for all the fall activities!
🍁 LBB ~little black booties~ are a MUST and closet essential for the fall and winter seasons. My fave pair this season are also from Walmart! I’m obsessed with the stud details + these have more of a heel than the leopard print ones, making them a lil dressier! the best part is that they are under $25 🙌
🍁 Faux Fur Leather Mules are the one pair I didn’t realize I needed, but so do! When it comes to fall shoes I usually gravitate towards boots and booties, but these mules are a total must have. They are so easy to just slide on with any outfit to dress it up a bit, they are surprisingly easy to walk in, and they are so fuzzy and warm! I’m totally obsessed! + these are also under $25!
🍁 OTK boots have been a fall obsession for the past few years now but they are still so trendy and keep your legs warm during the cooler months! These are perfect to dress down with leggings and a cozy sweater or dress up! Unfortunately my exact pair is no longer available but linked is a pair that I’ve been eyeing at Target!
thank you to everyone who took the time to read this, it really does mean so much! I hope to updating a new post once a week, so if you ever have any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment down below!

Get To Know Me!
Hey gals! I can’t believe that after 6 months I am finally sitting down to write my first post! I am over the moon excited to ~finally~ begin this blogging journey. I thought the best way to kick this off would be to share a little bit about myself!
- I am 23 years old and lived in Kansas for 22 of them
- I am a total homebody, I don’t typically enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone
- I get extremely anxious when forced to step out of that comfort zone
- I am engaged to the literal love of my life
- I tend to put everybody else’s happiness before my own
- My sister is my best girlfriend, but it was definitely not always this way
- I care WAY TOO MUCH about what others think of me and not enough about how I think of me
- I have the eating habits of a child
- I struggle with articulating what I am trying to say
- I have lived with a cat for 13 years, but recently discovered that I am highly allergic
- I earned a degree in health care but I hate going to doctors appointments
- I am lowkey addicted to playing Fortnite
- Dr. Pepper is 110% my drink of choice
- My dream is to live in Phoenix, AZ and hopefully in a year a half that dream will become a reality
- I am a movie fanatic, I’ve been “collecting” movies for as long as I can remember
For those of you cared enough to read through all of these lil fun facts about me, THANK YOU. I can’t wait to create more content for y’all! Let me below something about you! I’d love to get to know you all too!
